With us here In The Birth Room, you have found 1:1 mentorship with two of Calgary’s seasoned and community-respected doulas committed to building stronger connection.

Gathering in community is where we learn together and grow together. With a topic and our mentors to guide each gathering, we will explore shared experiences and where we can expand. In safety we hold confidential space for each other. Our gatherings are in-person and are hosted on the first Tuesday of each month at Megan’s house.

1:1 mentorship

Every month you will have time directly with your mentors to work on your business, your offerings, your website, and your brand. Explore your core values and what magic you alone can bring for your clients. With expert guidance and mentorship you will have dedicated time to focus on the areas that you’ve been meaning to expand for yourself and your unique doula gifts.

Together we will circle with other doulas to explore guided discussion of the deeper aspects of birth work included but not limited to advocacy, placenta medicine, resilience and sustainability, and building referral relationships within the wider professional birth work community.

FAQs

  • Ideally some background or experience in birth work will serve you well before stepping into the mentee role In The Birth Room. Any experience or training is welcome.

  • Nope.

    Your relationship with certification is an individual one. It’s not a prerequisite, and it’s not a condition of being a mentee.

    If your goal is to certify with your training body, as your mentees we will help you get there.

  • We start with a three month agreement.

    We trust you to know yourself best.

    Our mentee/mentor relationship will be complete once you feel ready and graduated. Every doula will have a unique need of our mentorship and it’s important to us that you get exactly what you need.

  • A monthly subscription fee is billed on the 15th of every month.

    The monthly payment is $333.00 CAD, and can be claimed on your annual tax filing as a business expense.

    The payment pre-purchases the upcoming month. 30 days notice is required to cancel your mentee subscription.
